Commissioned by the Daimler Art Collection, Berlin/Stuttgart, and Fondation Beyerle, Basel, the Paris-based artist Philippe Parreno has created a kind of film-time-sculpture, which takes up again the centuries-old idea of an ›eternal garden‹.

»Recent research shows that while we have been looking for life on an extra solar planet with a mass similar to earth and a star like the sun, it is in fact more likely to find life on a planet smaller than earth with more than one sun or dwarf stars. Life emerges from ›continuously habitable zones‹ (CHZ) around these planets, and so does an interesting scenario. In a world with two suns, black vegetation would blossom. Here, the boundary between those two territories called science and fiction becomes unclear.« – Philippe Parreno
