The Art Program for Employees
Every year, the Daimler Art Collection team conceives, realizes and supervises an extensive program of events exclusively for Daimler employees as part of their exhibition activities in Stuttgart and Berlin. New formats are constantly being developed to not only offer participants an insight into modern and contemporary art, but also provide them with the opportunity to become creative themselves and to exchange ideas and network with colleagues from other fields. In recent years, numerous workshops, After-work with Art events, craft workshops for children, concerts, film screenings, artist talks and lectures have been offered. The topics were designed specifically for the current exhibition: Calligraphy workshops with artist and curator Andreas Schmid, DJ sets and sound performances with artist Michael Sayles, workshops on contemporary collage techniques and music lectures with Professor Hartmut Fladt and many other interactive and creative events. All of these events are exclusive and free of charge for Daimler employees – an initiative to stimulate the debate on contemporary culture and creativity as well as to promote and expand interdisciplinary exchange and networking within the company.
The promotion of the arts is part of Daimler AG’s broad cultural commitment, in which an entrepreneurial self-image is formulated that stands for responsibility to social issues and processes. The company’s employees have the opportunity to meet the cultural, social, political and aesthetic concepts of contemporary art in their everyday work. Over the years, the collection has developed into a living component of the company. A strong commitment to art and culture as well as the dialogue with various departments of the company are our mission.
